Available Positions

The Companion is a paraprofessional, providing services in the home for clients under the direct supervision of a qualified supervisor. Companion services include support, encouragement, companionship, respite breaks for family or caregivers, and provision of and instruction in reporting of changes in the client’s situation. The Companion is assigned to a client by the coordinator and follows a written plan of service.

Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • At least one (1) year of working as a companion or life experience in a working environment
  • Use of an automobile with possession of liability insurance is desirable
  • Must be able to read, write in English and follow instructions, bi-lingual desired
  • Selected on the basis of such factors as: an interest in people, tact, a history of emotional stability, dependability in employment, neatness in appearance and practices, good personal hygiene, and good judgment
  • Must have a criminal background check

The homemaker is a paraprofessional employee, trained to provide, home maintenance services for clients under the direct supervision of the supervisor. Homemaking services include dietary management, household services essential to the client’s health and well-being, and provision of instruction in reporting signs, symptoms, and/or changes in the client’s condition. The homemaker is assigned to a client by the coordinator and is given a written plan of service.

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of on-the-job training
  • Use of an automobile with possession of liability insurance is desirable
  • Must be able to read, write and follow instructions in English
  • One year of work experience
  • Must have a criminal background check

An individual who, under professional supervision, provides assistance with nutritional and environmental support, personal hygiene, feeding and dressing.

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of skills checklist and training provided
  • One year experience in a working environment
  • Speaks, reads, and writes and able to communicate effectively in English
  • Must have criminal background check

Certified Nursing Assistants are responsible for many patient care tasks to ensure that each patient receives the comprehensive and personalized care they need. They often have the following responsibilities

  • Preparing meals and assisting patients with eating
  • Bathing and personal hygiene
  • Skin Care, Foot Care
  • Ambulation Assist or Transfers—fall precautions
  • Encourage exercises if needed
  • Dressing
  • Toileting
  • Light Housekeeping
  • Medication reminders
  • Monitoring changes in patient and report to the family and RN immediately.
  • Recognize when to call 911.
  • Preparing patients rooms with a beverage and snack, blankets, pillows, medical equipment they have, setting up for their bathroom needs and keeping their area clutter free prior to leaving the patients home.
  • Must have a criminal background check
